Help upgrade our kitchens

Area of focus: Resident health and nutrition | Facility maintenance

Amount Raised: R 25 200,00   Goal: R 450 000,00

Each Nazareth House requires much-needed catering equipment which encompasses a wide range of appliances, including gas cookers to reduce electrical consumption. These essential tools enable facilities to effectively prepare and serve nutritious meals that cater to specific dietary requirements. By utilising such equipment, residents can enjoy a pleasant dining experience while receiving the necessary nourishment. It is imperative for all our Nazareth Houses to possess adequate and commercial kitchen equipment to ensure optimal functionality and maintain the highest standard of care, health, and nutrition.

Help us paint

Area of focus: Facility Refurbishment & Maintenance

Amount Raised: R3 000,00   Goal: R 500 000,00

Our Nazareth Houses are in desperate need of a facelift! These beautiful, historic buildings have stood the test of time, but now they’re looking a bit tired and worn. We want to refresh and repaint our spaces, but it’s not as simple as grabbing a brush—serious repairs are needed before we can even begin painting, driving up the costs. We aim to create light and bright homes that our residents can be proud of. Here’s what we need:

  • Bone White Paint for all our interiors to make the inside spaces feel fresh and welcoming.
  • Light Grey Paint for our exteriors to give a modern, clean look to our buildings.

While our dedicated maintenance team is ready to do the work, we’re facing a shortage of the necessary paint and materials. We need your help! Send us a bucket or sponsor a bucket of paint, and your contribution will help us turn these tired old houses into vibrant, cheerful homes that our residents will love.

Help with laundry machines

Area of focus:Resident hygiene | Operational efficiency

Amount Raised: R30 000,00   Goal: R 250 000,00

Nazareth House is needing commercial-grade washing machines and dryers. Currently, we rely on residential machines, which are not equipped to handle the high volumes and specific needs of our facilities, particularly for our frail residents with incontinence issues. Commercial machines ensure a higher level of cleanliness, crucial for the health and well-being of our residents. Investing in the correct equipment will save on long-term costs associated with repairs, replacements, and outsourcing. We are calling on individuals and corporations to support this vital cause.

Help with a new bus

Area of focus: Resident health, wellness & mobility | Outreach work

Amount Raised: R241 000,00   Goal: R 550 000,00

Nazareth House Johannesburg is urgently seeking funds to purchase a new resident bus. This vehicle is more than just transportation; it’s a lifeline for our residents. It enables them to attend essential hospital and doctor visits, specialist appointments, volunteer activities, and recreational outings. The bus is also critical for our community outreach work in Yeoville and surrounding areas, ensuring we can continue to support those in need. Despite beginning our fundraising efforts in 2021, we still need significant contributions to reach our goal. We invite you to open your heart and support this vital cause. Imagine the joy and relief our residents will feel when they can comfortably and safely travel to their appointments and participate in community activities. Your donation will not just be a financial contribution; it will be a gift of mobility, independence, and hope.
